The characteristic of learning consists of a progressive curriculum that offers a high degree of freedom, and that combines research topics of individual students with their foundation based on lessons for individual musical instruments that form the basis of learning. For instance, a student who desires a challenge by participating in a competition can formulate a plan to study accordingly, while a student who wishes to become affiliated with an orchestra can take part in a thorough pursuit of an orchestra study.
The education framework in place caters to a curriculum with any number of variations so that each student can set up a research topic and find a path to get there.
Just as a medical record is prepared for each individual, so is the Senzoku style of learning that offers a system in which students can pursue whatever it is that they want.

Completion Requirements
- ・A candidate must be registered at the Graduate School for at least two years and have completed at least 30 units of required and elective courses.
- ・A candidate must submit a master’s degree thesis and pass screening as well as final examinations. The master’s degree thesis may be considered a specific course of study in some cases, however.

Academic Degrees
An academic degree of “Master of Music” is awarded to individuals who have satisfied the completion requirements for the program of study and have passed the final examination given by the Graduate School.
Teacher’s License
In the event that a student has already acquired a Class 1 high school and junior high school teacher’s license (music) from a four-year university, such a student can acquire a high school and junior high school teacher’s license with specialization (music).
